Yohji Yamamoto at the V&A

This week the Victoria and Albert Museum opened its retrospective into one of fashions most influential and mysterious designers, Yohji Yamamoto.  Made famous in the eighties with his avant-guarde style, he was master of pushing the boundaries of gender identity with his use of exaggerated form and non-traditional fashionable textiles.

The exhibition only runs until July 10th, 2011 so do not delay.  If you find yourself unable to make it to London check out the curators blog made specific for the exhibition, it chronicles the process of putting the show together from catalogs to dressing mannequins - a real gem for anyone interested in behind the scenes.
