Gilles Peterson’s taste in music spans an infinite ocean of genres, the artists he showcases are an endless source of inspiration to my own practice. I can still remember the first time we were introduced, the internet was much younger then and I owned one of the earliest mp3 players a little Mpio. I had been spending countless hours in the Dawson College art studio, alone with my brushes and paint, his radioshow transporting me to another dimension. Almost ten years later, the Peterson brand has grown with podcasts, festivals and record labels - adding and aiding to the continuation for the search of the perfect beat.
Peterson recently sat with DJ Nuts from Brazil, the podcast is the perfect mix to get you through spring cleaning. A plethora of Brazillian vinyl gems from the 60’s/70’s gushing sunny and good times vybez. Love, love love this podcast.
