Chinese artist Ai Weiwei was detained at the Beijing Airport as he tried to board a plane to Hong Kong on Sunday April 3rd, 2011. The artist remains unreachable and his whereabouts are unknown.
Tate Modern, who is currently showing Ai Weiwei’s sunflower seeds installation in its Turbine Hall space, has posted a message of support on the museum facade and is encouraging people to sign this petition calling for the artist’s release.
