Map of the World

I struggled for many months with gift ideas to give family and friends who’ve gone above and beyond in helping with pending nuptial planning.  It was important that it be something thoughtful and personal, so in the end decided making a print would be the best course of action.

The print is a map of the world with editions in two colour ways. WARM: pink, ocra, burnt umber and COOL: pale blue, aqua, forest green. It was a long and grueling process writing out all the countries, their capitals and major cities but satisfying at the same time learning new possible places to visit.  I was inspired by the cartography of the 1950’s, so hopefully that translates through this work. Can’t wait to see them framed!
